There were a lot of peaceful protestors... who turned a blind eye to the increasing violence and intimidation used by the mob. First they block roads, then they thrown bricks and stones, then they attacked anyone who dared to speak out or stand in their way, all in the while claiming the aura of being "peaceful" protestors, until they began to use deadly weapons. Media and politicians still claimed these were peaceful demonstrations up until mid-August even though violence began in early June. Now the truth can no longer be ignored.
